Bantabaa Academy

Jobs are essential for a sustainable integration

Work and jobs are part of a sustainable integration. Annika Varadinek, the project's initiator, has integrated and trained refugees into the work processes of her small café. However, due to the size of the kitchen, it soon became clear that larger rooms were needed. Those were found at Wrangelstraße 82 in Berlin Kreuzberg -  In August of 2016 the catering company Bantabaa Food Dealer was founded and a qualification concept was created.

The aim of the training project is to ensure that refugees are qualified for workplaces in their own company or for other catering establishments. In this way, refugees should not only be given a qualification but also genuine career prospects - for a life in Germany or in their home countries.
